Amerant Names Lenya Suarez Rojo Head of Retail Banking
CORAL GABLES, FL – Amerant Bank, one of the largest community banks headquartered in Florida, announced today that Lenya Suarez Rojo, a South Florida bank veteran with over 15 years of experience in the industry, has joined the company as Senior Vice President – Head of Retail Banking.
Suarez Rojo will oversee all aspects of Amerant Bank’s retail bank across South Florida and Houston, Texas, including the development and execution of the Bank’s retail growth strategy. She also is responsible for the education and development of all retail and consumer personnel.
Prior to joining Amerant, Suarez Rojo was First Vice President, Sales Effectiveness Manager at City National Bank. Her experience is diverse, having led multiple teams and managed initiatives in brand management, advertising, media, customer marketing, eCommerce and more.

Suarez Rojo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she also received her Florida Bankers Association Certification. In 2021, Suarez Rojo attended and completed The Wharton School’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program.
