Amerant’s Brenda Costilla Accepts Appointment to the Credit Coalition’s Board of Directors
HOUSTON – Amerant Bank, one of the largest community banks with a strong presence in Houston and Florida, and with eight banking centers throughout Houston, announced today that Brenda Costilla, Banking Specialist Manager, has accepted the appointment to serve on The Credit Coalition’s Board of Directors.
The Credit Coalition is a non-profit organization that works to empower and educate consumers through financial and homebuyer counseling, in order to make informed, reasonable and responsible decisions regarding their financial and housing goals. The Credit Coalition provides counseling in several topics, including Financial and Homebuyer Counseling and Education, Foreclosure Intervention Counseling, Reverse Mortgage Counseling, Financial Coaching and outreach services to all segments of the community.

With over a decade of experience in the Banking Industry, Costilla previously worked at BBVA Compass for seven years. During her tenure, she was appointed to Senior Financial Sales Advisor as well as Business Relationship Services, Client Representative. Prior to that, she worked at JP Morgan Chase and Woodforest National Bank.
Currently, Costilla is responsible for managing the banking center’s sales activities, as well as coaching and managing her team with business development activities. She also works alongside organizations in her community to promote the bank.
